The rhombus is a fundamental motif shared by all Indigenous peoples, though each group offers its own interpretation. The white background with red and black dots represents the earliest colors of the land—hues shared by the spiritual, ancestral, and human realms. The inner circles symbolize coexistence, harmony, and unity among early and later inhabitants. Through this work, the artist engages in a spiritual dialogue with the ancestors of the Kavalan people, the original inhabitants of Zhuangwei. One-third of the piece is buried underground, symbolizing the rooted presence of various ethnic groups who have settled here. The exposed triangular point signifies the spearheads once wielded by ancestors in defense of their homeland.
