Dai Xiaojun is a Paiwan singer-songwriter from the Shimen tribe in Mudan Township, Pingtung County. She has solid singing skills and a thick yet warm voice. From the metal rock style in the college days to the sparks that sparked with the Hengchun folk song team and the MAQATI music team after returning to her hometown, her music style has gradually changed, making her compositions have a unique charm.
In 2011, “Taiwan Original Pop Music Awards Aboriginal Language Group” won the first prize with a blockbuster “Music Coming of Age”. In order not to overwhelm himself with the momentary fame, he resolutely went to Australia for a working holiday. In the days of wandering in different places and singing on the street that year, because I missed the personnel affairs in my hometown after the August 8th typhoon, I wrote the song “Sad Colored Cloth” and won the first prize of the 2014 Original Pop Music Award again. In 2016, he released his first solo album “Walk Along the River” and held a concert tour. “Find a way home from music”, Dai Xiaojun is still walking on this beautiful road. In 2017, he was shortlisted for Best Aboriginal Language Album, Best Aboriginal Singer, and Album of the Year at the 28th Golden Melody Awards; his second album “The Outside Inside” was shortlisted for the 31st Golden Melody Awards in 2020.
