Hei Ge, known as a homeless man in Fucheng, worked in the record industry after he was discharged from the army and wrote many popular works. In 2000, he returned to his hometown of Tainan, where he recuperated at Tainan’s pace, felt the warmth of the land again, and made the music he wanted to do.
He integrates local identity and emotions into his music works, and is committed to the creation and promotion of his mother tongue. He can be called a “Taiwanese poet-singer”.
Holding ten Golden Melody Awards and Golden Music Awards, he has the resilience and grassroots character of a southerner. He even formed a van band to sing Taiwanese folk songs, touring nursing homes, nursing homes and other places to sing for the elders for free.
