Suming, an Amis singer-songwriter from the Dulan tribe in Taitung, won the 2016 Golden Melody Award for Best Song of the Year with “Don’t Give Up Aka Pisawad”, and has also won the Golden Horse Award for more than ten years, Golden Sound Award, Golden Melody Award and Presidential Culture Award.
Most of his works present the status quo of identity and the development of ethnic groups and culture in contemporary society. In recent years, he has devoted himself to promoting new creations of traditional Amis singing and using popular music to let the world know the beauty of Amis classical music.
The “Amis Music Festival” planned by him and the Midland team, together with the Dulan tribe, will make a grand debut on October 8th and 9th in Dulanbi.
